Medical Plans

SAIC offers eligible employees comprehensive medical coverage through several preferred provider organization (PPO) plans, including:

The MedPlus plan;
The MedBasic plan;
The Catastrophic plan; and
The Out-of-Area plan.

The plans listed above are self-insured by SAIC, which means that SAIC fully funds the plans.

In addition, employees living in certain areas may also be eligible to elect medical coverage through Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs); CIGNA International Plans; or Point of Service (POS) Plans. For more information about those medical plan options, refer to Other Medical Plans.
